ABOUT USUKI BERTH

Welcome to USUKI BERTH, a unique guesthouse run by Usuki Shipyard in the charming shipbuilding town of Usuki.

Created as a “harbor of connections,” it’s a cozy spot where travelers can pause, meet new people, and share memorable moments.

The word “BERTH” means a place where a ship temporarily anchors. Just like a small ship stopping safely in port, we hope our guesthouse offers visitors a welcoming haven to relax, connect, and enjoy time together.

The second and third floors are used as staff dormitories for the shipyard, while the first floor is open to guests as a shared space. Inside, you’ll find a modern concrete interior with unique shipyard touches: original ship blueprints, sail-inspired lighting, and reclaimed wood from scaffolding. Every corner of USUKI BERTH gives you a special experience you won’t find anywhere else—a true taste of Usuki’s shipbuilding spirit.

Shipyard Style

01

A Unique Space Inspired by Shipbuilding

When you open the door to your guest room, you'll be greeted by dynamic lighting with a ship's bottom motif. The decorations, made with blueprints and scaffolding boards that were actually used at the Usuki Shipyard, create a special space that can only be experienced here. This completely private, locked room can accommodate up to three guests.
